24BM Ltd is registered on the CHAS Health and Safety database. We also hold CONSTRUCTIONLINE, Exor and ROSPA registration and we have been installing Central Heating to strict specifications and standards for almost 50 years. Our Health and Safety Policy is available to download here.

The company is advised by Admac Limited, who are BSI accredited Health and Safety Consultants.

As new legislation comes into force, all our documents, policies and procedures are updated by our Health and Safety advisors, Admac Limited. New documents are then available on a secure web portal at http://www.admac.co.uk/gateway

Training to ensure safety of staff and others

Our Training Policy in general is that 24BM Limited will:

• Provide appropriate induction, Health and Safety and Job-specific training.
• Review training needs and personal development plans with staff at least annually through our appraisal structure.
• Set objectives for training linked to the company’s business plan.
• Agree training plans with staff to achieve these objectives.
• Ensure the planned training is carried out.
• Review the effectiveness and quality of training carried out.
• Ensure these responsibilities are discharged by the managers/team leaders.

All persons employed receive suitable and sufficient health and safety training in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. The aims of the health and safety training programmes are:

• To ensure all employees work in a safe manner
• To ensure employees correctly use and maintain PPE required for their work
• To assist management to arrange and organise effective work operations
• To minimise workplace incidents, accidents and damage to property
• To ensure a safe and healthy working environment
• To ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation

Additionally, it is Company Policy to provide ongoing training for all employees to refresh knowledge and update them on safe working practices and new equipment.

All new employees undertake Health and Safety Induction Training prior to release to the worksite. Induction training includes an introduction to the Health and Safety Policy documentation, Duty Holders, Fire and Evacuation procedures, Risk Assessment and Safe Systems of work as applicable and issue, use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment and work equipment.

If any personnel are uncertain of the safe working practices for any equipment they are instructed to contact their immediate Supervisor who will be responsible for ensuring adequate training is provided. Any BSW personnel wishing to add to their training record in matters of Health and Safety notify their Supervisor of their request, and appropriate additional training is considered at the next available opportunity.

Supervisors are responsible for ensuring any subcontractors are trained in the safe use of equipment allocated to them, and that any work carried out is supervised.
